Ben-Gurion University: Aliyah Le-Academia

We began supporting Ben-Gurion University initiatives for the integration of immigrant students in 2022, before the Foundation was officially registered, and continued providing active support after the First Iran War.

About the Project

Aliyah Le-Academia is Ben-Gurion University’s preparatory academic program for new immigrants. It combines intensive Hebrew study with accredited academic credits. The program includes six academic courses that count toward a bachelor’s degree, allowing students to begin their studies without postponing them while they learn Hebrew.

Students receive individual academic and social support and guidance throughout the program. Many faculty and staff members are immigrants themselves, helping create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that gives students a sense of belonging to the community.

The program is now in its fourth year. In recent years, given the situation in the country, students have also received daily support.
