Pumpkin Charity Grant Program

Pumpkin Charity is a grant program supporting community, cultural, educational and public-awareness initiatives created by new immigrants who have arrived in Israel since the beginning of 2022 — the “Pumpkin Aliyah.” The program is run in partnership with the Pumpkin Latte community.The total grant fund is NIS 65,000, with individual grants ranging from NIS 1,000 to NIS 20,000.

Grant applications were accepted through July 31 and are now closed.

Program Goals

The program aims to help new immigrants realize their professional, cultural and social potential by supporting projects that strengthen the community, promote integration into Israeli society and build civic connections.

 

The program was initiated and funded by the Koah ha-Ole Foundation. The Foundation also supports the Pumpkin Latte community, which hosts the program.

 

The Pumpkin Latte community serves as the platform for the competition and provides expert, informational and organizational support.

Expert Council

Grant decisions are made by an independent expert council. The council includes representatives of community initiatives, charitable projects, the cultural sector and civil society. Council members do not participate in reviewing an application where a conflict of interest exists, including any personal, family, financial or other interest in the outcome.

Tatiana Berlin

Community leader and founder of the Social and Information Assistance community.

Tatiana Glezer

Creator of the Pumpkin Latte community, founder of the Fifty Global research group, and Development Director at Boyar International School.

Natali Schneiderman

Director of Strategic Development for Aliyah and Integration Programs at the Jewish Agency for Israel. She has 25 years of experience in strategic development, grantmaking and international program management. She previously headed Global Grants at Genesis Philanthropy Group.

Ilya Axelrod

Israeli stand-up comedian and co-host of the From the River to the Sea podcast.

Maxim Fraerman

Community activist and former municipal coordinator for immigrant affairs at Holon Municipality.
