THE WALKS
With the foundation’s support, The Walks — a nonprofit specializing in work with immigrant teenagers — optimized its online psychological-support program, increased the number of meetings during and after the war, and developed technical infrastructure to expand its work.
“How-Are-You-Chat”
An emergency chat service for Russian-speaking young people aged 12–21 in Israel
In July 2025, during the war with Iran, The Walks launched an online emotional-support service for young people in crisis with support from its partners and Koah ha-Ole.
The project aimed to provide urgent emotional support during a crisis, offer a safe space to experience and express emotions, and help young people find inner resources for overcoming difficulties.
In June and July, future service specialists were trained to provide online chat support. The Foundation team improved the technical infrastructure, developed safety protocols and a supervision system for service specialists, and ran an information campaign for the launch.
The service was staffed by professionals — new immigrants with psychology degrees from their countries of origin — who specialize in working with teenagers and had completed training in online crisis counseling.
